3D Printing Industry’s Hype Hangover Gets Aussie Coverage

Last week, the Australian news media finally caught wind of some potentially shady business going Down Under. After publishing an in-depth piece on Jason Simpson, an engineer who built one of the world’s largest 3D printers and whose business may have been stripped from him by his investors, ABC news in Australia covered the story on TV and the radio.  Now, Jason and his former business, 3D Group, is starting to get the attention that it deserves. While Jason no longer has the equipment to return to his former engineering business, as it is owned by 3D Group’s new entity 333D Ply Ltd, 3D Group sister firm 3D Medical continues to operate. With wider circulation of the story, Jason make take his former investors to court.
